Question Ball

Group Size: 8–25 participants Duration: 10–15 minutes Materials: Soft ball

Objectives:

  • Improve verbal communication skills
  • Encourage active participation
  • Develop listening and response timing
  • Strengthen group engagement
  • Support social interaction in dynamic settings

Instructions: Participants stand in a circle. One participant throws the ball to another while asking a question. The receiver answers and continues by passing the ball to someone else with a new question.

Adaptations for Neurodiversity:

  • Allow hand-to-hand passing instead of throwing
  • Provide thinking time before answering
  • Use visual question cards
  • Allow skipping a turn without pressure
  • Reduce movement intensity if needed

Sensory and Safety Considerations: Medium sensory load due to movement and unpredictability. Can increase stimulation quickly.

Facilitator Notes: Keep questions simple, concrete, and inclusive. Maintain steady rhythm.
